Summer 2025 New Applicants:

• CCP Orientation Invitation:  You will receive access to the CCP Canvas Orientation within two weeks of receipt of login credentials.

• Advisor Assignment:  Typically within two weeks of successful completion of the mandatory CCP Orientation. If you believe you have successfully completed orientation, please re-review the last module and ensure you have completed all of the required forms/ Exit Ticket. You will not be assigned an advisor if all of these have not been completed.

Fall 2025 New Applicants:

• Admission decision:  Our admissions staff are currently prioritizing Summer admission.  Fall admissions for PUBLIC SCHOOL students could be delayed.  PRIVATE and HOMESCHOOL students who have applied for Fall are being included in the prioritization to ensure you have an offer in advance of the April 1 deadline.  PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS: if your application materials are all received and you have not yet received a decision on your application, please be patient while we complete Summer admission.  You will be processed in the order received when we pivot to PUBLIC school student admission.

• CCP Orientation Invitation:  NEW Fall applicants offered admission will not be added to CCP Orientation until May 2025. 

  Continuing students who completed the Change of Modality will be added to CCP Orientation on a weekly recurring basis beginning in mid-April.

No.  The CCP program is only available to students who live in Ohio and attend a school in Ohio.  However, ����÷���� also has a Dual Enrollment program where students from other states or attending high school in other states can participate in classes.  The Dual Enrollment program cannot guarantee your school will transcribe the credit or give high school graduation credit for the college course.  Therefore, if you are considering participating in the Dual Enrollment program, we encourage you to discuss your options with your high school first. In addition, students participating in the Dual Enrollment program are charged a flat rate of $125 per credit hour.  At this time, we do not have an application for students interested in participating in the Dual Enrollment program via Slate.  Currently, students can receive additional information and an enrollment packet by emailing:  ccp@uc.edu

Yes, you are eligible to participate in the College Credit Plus (CCP) program while you're in high school. However, once you graduate and apply to college, you will be classified as an international student rather than an Ohio high school graduate

As long as your high school grants approval for participation, you are eligible to join our College Credit Plus (CCP) program.

There can be. If you plan on attending courses on one of our three campuses, you may need to purchase a parking pass. CCP does not cover any costs of technology, notebooks, or writing utensils. If you need to purchase any of these materials, you may need to pay for them out of pocket or contact your high school counselor for assistance.  

Work with your CCP advisor to complete an . This form is due by the drop deadline date each semester. Information about course billing will be sent to your ����÷���� email after the drop deadline. You may find additional billing information on ����÷����'s Bursar website. 

Yes; however Non-Public and Homeschool students must complete a funding application each year. Funding applications are due by 5:00 PM on April 1 each year. The funding application covers the subsequent summer, fall, and spring semesters. Please work with your school counselor to determine how many funding hours to request.

No.  However, ACT or SAT scores may be used to satisfy certain course prerequisites. [link to prereq question?]

Log into your College Board Account. Above your scores, you will click on a button that says, "Send my scores to schools". Please include the ����÷����. This score will be able to be seen by all 3 ����÷���� campuses.

A prerequisite is generally a requirement that a student must complete before enrolling in a course. Different choices of prerequisites may be listed. For example, for ����÷����'s CHEM 1040/Introduction to Chemistry, students may satisfy the course prerequiste by taking a math course like MATH 1021, OR by scoring a 55 or higher on the ALEKS placement test. Some courses may require more than one prerequisite.

A corequisite is another type of requirement that may be listed to enroll in a course. Common corequisites include enrollment in a particular program or major at ����÷����.

Some courses, such as Math, Science, English and Foreign Languages, may require a student to complete a placement assessment before enrolling in a course.

ENGLISH: If you are planning to take English Composition (ENGL 1001), an English Assessment score (or ACT ENGL or SAT EBRW) must be on your academic record to satisfy the course prerequisite.

The self-assessment is fully online and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete; it includes a short reading.

MATH/SCIENCE: If you are planning to take a math or science course, a Math Placement Test (or ACT MATH or SAT MATH) must be on your academic record to satisfy course prerequisites. ALEKS is an un-proctored test is available online and may be taken at any time; however, one the test is started, you have 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete it.

CCP students are required to meet with their assigned CCP advisor prior to each semester they plan to enroll at ����÷����. You may schedule an appointment in My Bearcat Network.

You are assigned a CCP advisor after attending a CCP orientation session. You can locate your advisor in  by clicking on the "My Academics" tile and looking in the "Academic Profile" box. You may also locate your advisor and schedule an appointment with them through My Bearcat Network. 

Check with your high school counselor to verify that any course you take as a CCP student satisfies a particular high school graduation requirement.

CCP students are assigned specific enrollment times. You can locate your enrollment time following the steps below.

2. Click the "My Academics" tile
3. Select the "Classes and Schedule" option
4. Click "View Assigned Enrollment Time" to learn your specific date and time to register

1. Contact your advisor and explore various academic support resources available to ����÷���� students.
2. Review course deadlines. *Please note that these may differ per course.*
3. Discuss academic implications of dropping or withdrawing from a course with your high school counselor.
4. Discuss financial implications of dropping or withdrawing from a course with your high school counselor, CCP advisor, and family.
5. Follow up with your CCP advisor for specific instructions for how to drop or withdraw from a course.

Keep in mind that courses are offered in various formats:

• Semester: These courses will last the entire 15 week semester.
• Hybrid: These courses involve in person and online work.
• In person: These courses require in person attendance to a ����÷���� classroom.
• Online, synchronous: These courses meet online at particular days and times each week. Students are expected to be online at the scheduled course time.
• Online, asynchronous: These courses do not have specific meeting days and times but are not self-paced. Students are expected to submit assignments by posted due dates throughout the semester.

CCP students can take up to a maximum of 15 credits per semester. We suggest students take between 1-4 courses, depending on their high school schedule. This can be discussed with both your CCP advisor and your high school counselor!

Yes. All CCP students must apply to ����÷���� Undergraduate Admissions as a first-time freshman student. Participating in ����÷���� CCP does not guarantee automatic admission into any degree program at the ����÷����.

Yes. All incoming freshmen, including former CCP students, are required to attend orientation. There are no exceptions to this rule.

No. CCP students are not permitted to participate in study abroad programs as they are beyond the scope of this program.

No. Students enrolled in CCP or other similar dual-enrollment programs are not eligible for University on-campus housing.

• If you took CCP credit at another institution, please search ����÷����'s transfer equivalency database and work with your current academic advisor to determine how your credits may transfer to ����÷����.  
• If you plan to attend college outside of ����÷����, please contact a representative from the institution you plan to attend. State that you are interested in applying and ask how the course(s) in question will transfer and apply toward your intended degree.

• If you completed your CCP coursework at ����÷���� and you plan to attend ����÷����, you do not need to send a transcript.
• If you plan to attend college elsewhere and you need an official ����÷���� transcript, you will need to access your . Transcripts can be ordered on the “My Academics” page under “Grades/Transcript/Enroll Cert.”
