What is co-op?

As the founder of cooperative education, the 美高梅官网 is uniquely qualified to address the needs of a transforming workforce. Today鈥檚 co-op comes in many forms as organizations reconsider how jobs are designed and adapt for future growth.

Traditional or full-time co-op

Students alternate academic semesters with semesters spent working full-time in their chosen field.

  • 35+ hours per week
  • 15-18 weeks (semester)
  • Required for 美高梅官网鈥檚 College of Engineering and Applied Science; College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning; Lindner College of Business; and School of Information Technology
  • On site, remote or on campus

Part-time co-op

This flexible option allows students to work part-time while continuing to attend classes.

  • 5-20 hours per week
  • 15-17 weeks (semester)
  • Related to a student鈥檚 major or exploratory studies
  • On site, remote or on campus

IMPACT Innovation at IDD Education center celebrates milestone

April 11, 2025

The IDD Education Center鈥檚 IMPACT Innovation program celebrates a major milestone as associate Haley secures a position at Adrian Durban Florist. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and community partnerships, IMPACT Innovation helps adults with autism develop independence, communication, and workplace skills. Haley鈥檚 mother shares how the program has supported her daughter's growth, while program director Genna Kieper highlights the role of job coaching in Haley鈥檚 success. Adrian Durban Florist, a long-time partner, continues to be a champion. The IDD Education Center remains committed to expanding employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
