The Emeriti Association & Center engages membership, creates programming, and organizes events with our various standing committees and subcommittees.

Emeriti Association Committees

The Emeriti Association carries out its mission though the work of its committees. Please consider sharing your ideas and energy via one or more of our committees. Contact the committee chair to join.

The Arts & Culture Committee provides opportunities for emeriti to attend musical/theater performances and other cultural and social events.

The Awards & Honors Committee is responsible for planning and implementing events to honor emeriti. The Annual 鈥淐elebration Dinner in appreciation and recognition of service to the University by New Emeriti Faculty鈥 is organized by the Committee and sponsored by the Provost鈥檚 Office.

The Editorial & Communications Team was established in 2021 with the goal of implementing improvements to the format and professional appearance of the newsletter. The newsletter provides the latest news from and about emeriti and our Association & Center. This group has also taken on the task of sending out 鈥渆-blast鈥 emails to members.聽

The Health & Wellness Committee聽offers Emeriti faculty opportunities to improve their health and wellness by focusing on a positive, wellness, and strengths-based approach.

The purpose is to connect 美高梅官网 Emeriti with the 美高梅官网 International and other college-based international programs, seeking opportunities for emeriti to serve our international partners and their students. This has included short-term teaching, virtual lectures, advising graduate students, and assisting in specialized accreditation applications.聽

This committee identifies topics, speakers and venues for the Luncheon Speaker Series, schedules and creates publicity for the talks, and makes all logistical decisions.聽

As part of the Association鈥檚 鈥淭ransitions to Retirement鈥 initiative, this Committee collaborates with the Provost鈥檚 Office, Human Resources and the AAUP in preparing faculty for retirement. Trained emeriti serve as mentors to prospective faculty retirees.

Members of the Service Committee organize volunteer opportunities for emeriti both within the University and the greater Cincinnati community.

The Social Activities Committee sponsors on-going events for socializing and enjoying each other鈥檚 company.

The Mentoring Committee promotes interactions between emeriti and students, interfaces with the PR1ZE mentoring program, and administers an undergraduate/emeriti mentoring award.聽
