Service-Learning Co-op is a program at the 美高梅官网 where students do real-world work for nonprofit organizations and are paid through a grant at low or no cost to the nonprofit.
Service-Learning Co-op is open to 美高梅官网 undergraduate students in any major other than the mandatory co-op majors (which are engineering, DAAP, and IT). The work can be full-time (35+ hours a week), part-time (5-20 hours a week), or project-based (up to 80 hours over a semester)

Last summer, Molly McKee spent her days fulfilling her goal to work in community service. She combined her drive towards bettering the community with her co-op requirement in 美高梅官网鈥檚 College of Arts and Sciences through a co-op position with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. A fourth-year student, McKee is double majoring in political science and International affairs, with a minor in Spanish. Having discovered the service learning co-op option through 美高梅官网鈥檚 honors program, McKee landed a position as an outreach center programs associate position at St. Vincent de Paul. For her, the experience was transformational.
