Teaching English Abroad for Non-Teachers

The Teaching English Abroad for Non-Teachers session is meant for students who are not Education majors and plan to apply for the ETA grant. In this interactive workshop, we’ll discuss the ETA role, cultural differences and how that can affect teaching abroad, and finally how you can translate your experiences and qualifications into a competitive ETA application. Be ready to collaborate in this session! We will do a series of brainstorming activities and discussion questions to help you think about your qualifying experiences to teach English abroad and ideas for engaging your students in the classroom. Although this session is for non-teachers, Education majors are welcome to join and may find the session useful to help start their application and think about cultural differences when teaching in other countries.
