Anna Armao

Anna de la O graduated cum laude in '23 with a Bachelor of Art in English with a dual concentration in Creative Writing and Rhetoric and Professional Writing, and a certificate in Copyediting & Publishing. While at ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø, she was a Cincinnatus presidential scholar, an Arts & Sciences Honor Scholar, and a member of the University Honors Program and Dean's List.

Currently, she's living in her hometown of Miami, FL, where she works as an editorial assistant at Mango Publishing Group. She's an active member in several local writing and book clubs, Miami's vibrant theater scene, and Florida's ample Austenite community.

If she is granted the Fulbright award, Anna will pursue an MA in Creative Writing at the renowned Manchester Metropolitan University, with a self-designed focus on disability literary and cultural studies. Her classes in ASL and disability lit at ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø inspired her to take an interest in the subject and how accessibility is impacted by the field of publishing. She is passionate about disability advocacy and looks forward to addressing the woeful lack of mainstream disabled representation in her aspirations as a writer and editor.
