ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø National Outreach Award

The ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø National Outreach Award is a scholarship program for incoming students coming to the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø to recognize their academic merit.

Qualifying students who enroll directly from a high school and are not eligible for Ohio residency,Ìýtuition remission,Ìýreciprocity, or metropolitan tuitionÌýprograms or distance learning rates, or any scholarship of equal value or more directed to non-resident fees are eligible for this renewable annual awardÌýto reduce out-of-state tuition costs.

Awardees will also be considered for other ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø freshman scholarship awards.


Qualifications

To be considered for renewable ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø National Outreach Awards of $10,000, incoming freshmen must have a completeÌýÌý(the Common Application including ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø-specific areas and high school-submitted transcript)ÌýbyÌýDecember 1stÌýof their senior year.Ìý

Qualifying incoming freshmen must have a 3.75 weighted** or 3.00 unweighted high school GPA at the time of application submission.


Renewability

All ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø National Outreach Awards are renewed for the length of the undergraduate academic program* through 8 in-class, full-time terms assuming that the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and completes the annual 30-hourÌýcommunity service requirement.

National Outreach Scholars who are also awarded aÌýCincinnatus ScholarshipÌýhave the same renewal criteria. Therefore, the same annual 30 hours of community service fulfill renewal of both awards.

Cincinnatus Scholars eligible for the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø National Outreach Award are ineligible to receive the $3,000 Cincinnatus Out-of-State Award. All scholarship awards will be reviewed to comply withÌýscholarship limits.

*Length of the undergraduate program is considered 8 full-time, in-class semesters.

**Weighted GPA is determined and used for award eligibility if the high school weights any GPAs.
