Service hours are to be completed during the academic year. Your service must have occurred after the first day of fall term and completed and submitted by the final day of spring semester.

An online database through the 美高梅官网 Center for Community Engagement is available for your use. You can access it at聽聽for a growing list of service opportunities.

Scholars will use their 美高梅官网 log on credentials to register and gain access to the site.聽For help using聽惫辞濒耻苍迟别别谤.耻肠.别诲耻听and entering your service hours,聽you can contact聽the Center for Community Engagement (community.engagement@uc.edu; 513-556-1559; 2639 Clifton Avenue).

The online volunteer system will allow you to review service options and register your participation.

Following the event, you can submit your hours as completed.

Scholars can report completed service hours for activities signed up for within聽the聽聽database as well as those hours you find on your own. Using this one database to submit your hours allows you to easily track the total hours you have submitted for the year.

Instructions on how to report online:

1. Navigate to聽.
   
   
2. Log in as a volunteer (if you don鈥檛 already have an account, you will be prompted to make one).
   
   
3. Click 鈥渁dd hours鈥� in the navigation bar at the top of the site.
   
   
4. Answer the question 鈥淎re these hours in reference to a need you responded to on this site?鈥�
   
   
   • If yes, select the need from the drop-down menu and answer the prompted questions.
     
     
   • If no, you will need to provide us with the name of the organization with whom you volunteered, the name of your contact there, and the email address where we can reach them to verify your hours. You will then answer the prompted questions.

Hours will be reviewed generally on a biweekly basis and marked as completed as they are reviewed.

While there is no requirement to submit hours each term,聽scholars are encouraged to submit their hours as they complete them聽in order to avoid problems at the end of the year. Again, the online submission gives you a review of your hours submitted and approved.

In cases聽when hours are not acceptable, scholars will be notified via email when the online service form is submitted. Review of hours generally occurs within 2 weeks of submission. Students with questions on the appropriateness of service for scholarship renewal聽should always talk with the聽Cincinnatus聽office before completing the hours.
