Roommates

Complete your roommate profile and/or roommate group at your convenience within the housing application. Note that roommate groups are capped at 2 people, which includes yourself and 1 roommate request. No need to finalize your profile or group before submitting the application; you can re-enter the portal anytime before the May 1 deadline to complete this step.

PLEASE NOTE: Room assignments are made based on the week you applied for housing. All roommate requests are subject to space availability at the time of your assignment and are NOT guaranteed. As a result,Ìýstudents who apply closer to the application deadline are less likely to have their requests able to be accommodated.Ìý

Move-in Appointment

Move-in can be a hectic time for you and your family. However, when everyone moves in by appointment, it spreads out traffic congestion and makes the process go more smoothly.

  • You must reserve a move-in appointment via the housing portal in mid-July/early-August
  • You will be notified via your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø-issued email when the appointment scheduler opens

  3. Login using your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username and password. It may take up to 24 hours to gain access after confirming your University admission.
  4. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌý the large red box entitledÌýMonthly Rentals Graduate Housing Application.ÌýDo not press APPLY HERE.ÌýThat will bring you to the undergraduate housing application.
  5. ³§±ð±ô±ð³¦³ÙÌýMonthly Rental 2025-2026Ìýas your term.
  6. Choose the earliest dateÌýyou would like to move into the apartment and the latest possible date you would move into the apartment using dates provided.
  7. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSave & Continue.
  8. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýADD PREFERENCEÌýand select your first choice from the dropdown menu. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýADD PREFERENCEÌýto continue to add preferences.
  9. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSave & Continue.
  10. Answer the Roommate Profile questions.ÌýUncheckÌýthe box at the bottom of the pageÌýto hide your profile from others.Ìý Otherwise, people can find you when trying to find a roommate and attempt to add you to their group.Ìý °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  11. Search for roommates by clickingÌýSearch for Roommates by Details,ÌýSearch for Roommates by ProfilesÌýorÌýSuggest Roommates. PressÌýGO BACKÌýto return to the previous page.
  12. You must create or join a group to search for roommates. You can delete the group once you have finished searching.
  13. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSKIP ROOMMATE SEARCHÌýonce you have finished searching.
  14. PressÌýSave & ContinueÌýwhen you arrive at the Application Received page. You have completed the intake process.Ìý

Offers are sent to ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø email accounts if an available apartment matches preferred apartment type and desired move-in dates.Ìý

Complete the following steps in the Ìýwithin two business daysÌýof the offer email to accept your apartment offer:

  1. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýACCEPT OFFERÌýbelow.
  2. Click theÌý³¢´Ç²µ¾±²ÔÌýhotlink next to the large red arrow.
  3. Login using your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username and password.
  4. Click the large red box entitledÌýMonthly Rentals Graduate Housing Application.
  5. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýCONTINUEÌýfor term Monthly Rental 2025-2026 on the Term Selector page.
  6. Indicate you are accepting the offer by using the drop-down menu. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  7. Enter your student number (M Number) to accept the offer. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  8. Review the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø Immunization Requirements page.Ìý °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  9. Use the drop-down menu to answer whether you will be adding occupants.Ìý °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  10. If you have occupants, provide the name, date of birth and relationship to you for each person. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌý+Add New FieldÌýto add additional people. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.ÌýIf you don't have occupants, pressÌýSAVE & CONTINUEÌýon the no occupants confirmation page.
  11. Use the drop-down menu to answer whether you will be adding roommates who do not currently live in the apartment.Ìý °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  12. If you have new roommates, provide the name and ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username to you for each person. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.ÌýIf you don't have roommates, clickÌýSAVE & CONTINUEÌýon the no additional roommates confirmation page.
  13. Add the name of the primary leaseholder. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  14. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUEÌýat the Pay Application Fee page.
  15. Review the application fee charge ($150). °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýPAY NOW. Pay the $150 fee at the shopping cart page. Enter your email address to receive a receipt.
  16. You will be brought to the page that indicates you have successfully accepted your room offer.

You will be sent instructions on how to pay the security deposit once all the tenants in the unit accept their offers and pay their application fees.

Complete the following steps in the Ìýwithin two business daysÌýof the offer email to decline your apartment offer:

  1. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýDECLINE OFFERÌýbelow.
  2. Click theÌý³¢´Ç²µ¾±²ÔÌýhotlink next to the large red arrow.
  3. Login using your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username and password.
  4. Click the large red box entitledÌýMonthly Rentals Graduate Housing Application.
  5. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýCONTINUEÌýfor term Monthly Rental 2025-2026 on the Term Selector page.
  6. Select declining the offer by using the drop-down menu. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  7. Enter your student number (M Number) to confirm your decline. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.

You have successfully declined your apartment offer.

Complete the following steps in the to accept renewal for 2025-2026:

  1. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýRENEW NOWÌýbelow, opening in another tab so you can follow along with these instructions.
  2. Click theÌý³¢´Ç²µ¾±²ÔÌýhotlink next to the large red arrow.
  3. Login using your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username and password.
  4. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌý the large red box entitledÌýMonthly Rentals Graduate Housing.ÌýDo not press Apply for HousingÌýunless you want to live in an undergraduate residence hall.
  5. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýRENEWÌýfor term Monthly Rental 2025-2026 on the Term Selector page.
  6. Indicate you are accepting by using the drop-down menu. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  7. Enter your student number (M Number) to confirm renewal. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  8. Use the drop-down menu to indicate whether you will have occupants (non-ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø affiliated family members) staying in your room. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  9. Add name, date of birth and relationship for each occupant if applicable. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  10. Answer whether you will be adding new roommates not currently staying with you using the drop-down menu. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  11. Add name and ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username for each new roommate. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.
  12. Add the name of the primary leaseholder. Rent charges will be placed on the primary leaseholder's StarRez account for payment through our portal. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýSAVE & CONTINUE.

You have successfully declared your intent to renew your apartment for next year. Your lease will be sent through DocuSign once it is available.

Complete the following steps in the to decline renewal for 2025-2026:

  1. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌýDECLINE NOWÌýbelow, opening in another tab so you can follow along with these instructions.
  2. Click theÌý³¢´Ç²µ¾±²ÔÌýhotlink next to the large red arrow.
  3. Login using your ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø username and password.
  4. °ä±ô¾±³¦°ìÌý the large red box entitledÌýMonthly Rentals Graduate Housing.ÌýDo not press Apply for HousingÌýunless you want to apply to live in an undergraduate residence hall.
