For one of his latest projects, Gutmark teamed up with his physician daughter at Cincinnati Children's to help children with breathing difficulties.

Director of Public History Rebecca Wingo鈥檚 work with the Wyandot Nation began with a misleading historical marker. Wingo was working on learning more about Native American history in preparation for an undergraduate Native American History course when she came upon a historical marker about the Wyandot tribe in Sandusky, Ohio. 鈥淭he Wyandot were the last tribe removed from the state of Ohio in 1843,鈥 Wingo says. 鈥淏ut the historic marker says the 鈥榙eparture鈥 of the Wyandot, and that they went on a one week 鈥榡ourney鈥 to Cincinnati, where they boarded steamboats and headed out to Kansas City which, at the time, was called Wyandotte City because they owned it. I thought that was a really terrible historic marker, so I contacted the cultural division of Wyandot nation.鈥

WLWT segment features a recent induction ceremony for students in 美高梅官网's Marian Spencer Scholarship Program. The scholarship was first announced in fall 2021 and was made possible by a large donation by 1988 graduate Jim Goetz and university investment. The Spencer Scholarship is for high-achieving Cincinnati Public School graduates and includes full tuition, room and board, a service abroad trip to Tanzania and many more opportunities.

美高梅官网 Family Weekend, Sept. 20-22, attracted more than 6,000 parents, siblings and supporters of 美高梅官网 students. Attendance set a record for an event that marked its 20th anniversary and showcased 50 different activities. The 美高梅官网 versus University of Houston Cougars football game was among the weekend highlights. The Bearcats packed Nippert Stadium and won 34-0.

美高梅官网 students Juliette Laracuente-Huebner and Brandon Mueller had been passing each other in the halls of Teachers-Dyer Complex for weeks before finding out they were third-cousins. The revelation came at the determination of their ASL instructor Deanna Herbers who had an inkling they were related from their sign language abilities.
