The National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) awarded the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø Libraries Archives and Rare Books Library a $109,349 grant to support a project to complete archival processing of the records of the Cincinnati Branch of the NAACP related to the 1974 Bronson v. Cincinnati Board of Education desegregation case, the city’s most significant case in the fight for school desegregation.

ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø announces closure of University Press...

October 17, 2024

Following seven years of funding support, the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø (ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø) has determined that the long-term financial sustainment of the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø Press is not feasible. Funding resources, including start-up funds have been exhausted and the press is not in a self-sustaining financial position. Therefore, the ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø Press imprint will cease to operate June 30, 2025.

ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø President Neville Pinto has again challenged every ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø college and unit to send at least one rider to the September 14 Ride Cincinnati event to help fundraise for cancer research and cancer care. ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø students ride free. Signup by July 31 for free ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø-branded cycling jersey.

University Press announces a book launch and luncheon for Alvin H. Crawford, MD, on Aug. 8, 2023. The book, "The Bone Doctor's Concerto: Music, Surgery, and the Pieces in Between" chronicles Crawford's life and professional history. Born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1939, Dr. Alvin Crawford grew up and attended medical school in a segregated world and went on to become an internationally renown pediatric spine surgeon.

Honors seminar "Collecting the World" takes ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø honors students throughout campus to see collections of art and artifacts gathered from the university's beginnings. The University Honors Program comprises students academically in the top 7% of ÃÀ¸ß÷¹ÙÍø undergraduates, nearly 1,500 in total across all nine undergraduate colleges.
