Open Enrollment—also called online registration—is when all active students are able to register without special access or permission. Newly admitted students and students who have not enrolled in the past year will be able to register during Open Enrollment.

If you need to register after open enrollment has ended, you will need permission to do so.Ìý Review our Class Permission Requests page for instructions and other important information.

Important: Late permissions cannot be used for Flex Session classes. Review the instructions for adding a Flex Session class after open enrollment on the Registration How to Guide.

Any registration after a session has ended will require a completed Add/Drop Form. Review the instructions for Adding Classes After the Term Has Ended on our Registration How to Guide.

Dropped classes do not show up on your academic record, and you are not charged for a dropped class.

Reminder: Both drops and withdrawals use the drop actionÌýin Catalyst. After the Drop Deadline has passed, utilization of the drop actionÌýwill result in a withdrawal.

Withdrawn classes will remain on your academic record, and the associated charges will remain on your bill.

After you have registered, there is a period of time when you are able to edit your credit hours (for variable credit classes) or your class grading basis (normal, pass/fail, audit) without special permission or additional paperwork. Watch our Editing a Class video for instructions.

The most accurate way to view your drop and withdrawal deadlines is in Catalyst.

1. Select theÌýMy AcademicsÌýtile on your student home page inÌý
2. Open theÌýClasses and ScheduleÌýaccordion, and selectÌýView My Schedule
3. Make sureÌýMy Class ScheduleÌýis being displayed under theÌýEnrollÌý³Ù²¹²ú
4. Select theÌýterm, then clickÌýContinue
   1. Classes in which you are registered will appear on the screen.
   2. You can filter what you see by checking or unchecking the filter options, if you wish.
5. Click theÌýcalendar iconÌýnext to a class to view theÌýdrop and withdrawal deadlinesÌýfor that specific class
   • Remember, each of your classes could have different drop and withdrawal deadlines, so it is important to check the deadlines for each class.
   • Drops:
     • The class won't show up on your transcript.
     • You will receive a 100% refund.
     • °Õ³ó±ðÌýdrop deadlineÌýis listed underÌýDrop-Retain RecordÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýWithdrawal Without Penalty.
   • Withdrawals:
     • The class remains on your transcript as a withdrawal.
     • Charges for the class remain on your bill.
     • °Õ³ó±ðÌýwithdrawal deadlineÌýis listed underÌýDrop With PenaltyÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýWithdraw With Penalty.

Once you have either registered for your classes via CatalystÌýor your Add/Drop Form has been processed, you will want to confirm that your registration is correct. Follow the below steps to double-check your registration.

1. If you are not already there,Ìýlogin toÌýÌý
2. Click on theÌýMy AcademicsÌýtile on yourÌýStudent Homepage
3. Select theÌýClasses and ScheduleÌýdrop-down menu
4. ChooseÌýView My Schedule
5. Pick the radio button to the left of theÌýtermÌýyou want to confirm, and pressÌýContinue

Your full schedule for the selected term will display on this page. Here are some guidelines to make sure your schedule is correct:

• Make sure theÌýstatusÌýof your class isÌýEnrolled,ÌýWaitingÌý(for wait list registration),ÌýDropped, orÌýWithdrawnÌýas you had intended
• Verify that theÌýunits (credit hours)Ìýfor the class are correct
• Verify that theÌýgrading (normal, pass/fail, audit)Ìýoption for your class is correct
• Double-check that theÌýDays & TimesÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýStart/End DateÌýmatch for the section you wanted to add

If the class is not showing in your Class Schedule, you are not enrolled.
