All undergraduate colleges require a 鈥淐鈥� average for graduation. The awarding of a degree is based upon required subjects rather than upon credits.
鈥淚鈥� grades are non-punitive and have no effect on the cumulative average for the duration of one quarter. After one quarter, 鈥淚鈥� grades carry zero quality points. Between the Autumn Quarter, 1980, and the Summer Quarter, 1992, 鈥淚鈥� grades were administratively changed to 鈥淔鈥� grades after one year. Otherwise, 鈥淚鈥� grades remain as 鈥淚鈥� grades.
Graduate Grades
Graduate credit is indicated by a "G" next to the credit hours. Quality points are not awarded for courses carrying graduate credit.
